[link]Done after reading this journal post,
[link] talking about the issue of diversity in superhero comics.
As a creator, I always try to stay away from the "let's have one black guy in every movie, so we won't get sued" mentality, but at the same time keep as much diversity of my characters as I can.
This is actually a character I've been planning to introduce in Age of Smoke
[link] in a while, this contest just got me to draw her sooner.

I won't tell you her name yet (I like to have freedom of changing that at the last moment), but she's a monster hunter and a very nice person (as you can see).

Also, I'd like to mention that I'm far from saying that the comic book community as a whole is evil and sexist. There's plenty of great artists in mainstream, and many diverse characters, from Amanda Waller* and Volstagg to Nightcrawler and Wolverine**
*though I heard they made her skinny now? I'm more into the DC cartoons, to be honest
